Our Special Guest

Arron Atmore, Waterloo Cup Slipper

We are pleased to announce that Waterloo Cup Slipper Arron Atmore has accepted our invitation to be our special guest for the ASFA National Greyhound Specialty weekend, October 24 and 25!

Arron has been a coursing enthusiast since he was a boy. He became a licensed slipper as a teenager, and ultimately rose to the pinnacle when he was appointed slipper of the 2001 Waterloo Cup at the age of 31. He and his wife Frances breed and own coursing and racing Greyhounds, and are the proud owners of Suncrest Tina, winner of the 2000 Waterloo Cup. Off the field, Arron is an architect and Frances is a veterinarian.

Arron will judge the mid-day conformation show at the Specialty. Here's a rare opportunity to have your Greyhound judged by a man who has slipped many a coursing Greyhound, knows what a good-running Greyhound looks like, and has an on-the-field working knowledge of how conformation translates to athletic talent!

Arron will also give a single-slipping demonstration at the Specialty, and then will be our after-dinner speaker that evening. At the NLCC-sanctioned all-breed Fullerton Cup meeting on Sunday, October 25, Arron will judge all breeds. He is very experienced in the brace elimination running format and point tally scoring system, and will bring a unique perspective to the lure coursing field.

We hope that all Greyhound enthusiasts will join us for this special weekend of sport and meet an outstanding sportsman who you won't soon forget!
